You’ll learn how to present your existing skills to an employer and you’ll develop new skills. You’ll also learn how to be a successful student.

On this course, you’ll do all this while working in a supportive group with helpful tutors. For those wanting to achieve a qualification, this course can credit towards the New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 2 (Career and Education).

Course Content

This programme will build on your skills and give you the confidence to take the next step into employment or study in whatever field is of interest to you. Topics covered include compiling a CV and cover letter, interview skills, computing, teamwork, communication, strategies for successful learning (including literacy and numeracy) and more.

Credit recognition

If you have successfully completed New Outlook for Women, have work experience in this area, or a relevant prior qualification, you may be eligible for credit recognition towards the qualification New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 2 (Career and Education).
