Equip yourself with skills for a career in the automotive repair and refinishing industry.

This autobody qualification is designed to give you all the fundamental knowledge required to start work in the industry. This is achieved through a combination of the theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on tasks similar to the daily tasks undertaken in the industry.

The programme covers workplace policies, procedures and relevant regulations to work safely and effectively in the collision repair and automotive refinishing industry. It will also equip you with fundamental collision repair knowledge, enabling you to remove and replace vehicle components to assist with collision repair. You'll also gain automotive refinishing knowledge so that you can repair minor damage and prepare vehicle components for refinishing work.

Credit recognition

If you’ve gained related skills and knowledge through work experience, talk to our Centre for Assessment of Prior Learning about Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
