Get your career in automotive engineering off to the best start.

This autobody qualification is designed to give you all the fundamental knowledge required to start work in the industry. This is achieved through a combination of the theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on tasks similar to the daily tasks undertaken in the industry.

The programme covers workplace policies, procedures and relevant regulations to work safely and effectively in an automotive workshop. You'll learn how to use tools and equipment to complete basic workshop engineering taskts, apply fundamental automotive engineering knowledge to service engines, steering, suspension, brake and driveline systems. You'll also learn how to check the operation of, and perform minor repairs on, electrical and electronic systems.

Credit recognition is available for this programme; if you have related skills, knowledge and/or experience, it may count towards part or even all of the qualification.
