Combine your big picture thinking and attention to detail with project management skills that are in demand around the world.
In this full time one-year graduate diploma you will develop the theory and practical applications required of project management thereby enhancing employment opportunities.
If you like to plan and see a project right from concept through to completion, our graduate diploma might just be for you. Managing projects is an exciting career path and can be utilised anywhere in the world.
You will study the principles of project management, business finance, operations management, advanced project management and resource integration. These skills and knowledge gained will be used as you complete an industry project.
The project management expertise you will gain on this programme aligns with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), as defined by the Project Management Institute and is an internationally recognised standard.
Note: If you complete one additional course Product Development (AMPD700), provided you complete the Resource Integration (AMRI700) as your elective, you will graduate with two graduate diplomas; the Graduate Diploma in Operations and Production Management and the Graduate Diploma in Project Management, provided that your industry project reflects both fields of study.
Credit recognition
If you have work experience in this area, or a relevant prior qualification, you may be eligible for credit recognition towards this qualification.

If you show that you have equivalent skills for tertiary study gained through study, work and/or life experience, you may be able to gain alternative entry.

What if English is not my first Language?
If English is not your first language, we want to make sure that you will be successful in your chosen programme of study. Please provide a result from a test or qualification on the acceptable alternatives English Proficiency Outcomes Chart .

- If you are a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident, complete an Admission and Enrolment form and Ara will contact you regarding a free assessment.
- If you are not a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent resident, book an IELTS, Pearson or other test through the Ara Examination Centre or in your home country.
IELTS scores used must be taken from a single IELTS test report form and are valid for two years from the date of the test.
What if I have achieved NCEA Level 3 University Entrance?
You do not need to provide additional evidence of English Language skills.
