Tamesa has joined the 'tiny house' movement that is sweeping the world as people look for more affordable, more sustainable and more mobile housing solutions.

The two tiny houses at Tamesa's Woolston Campus are progressing well and the 16 high school students involved in the builds have started working on cabinetry for the interiors.

They are currently working to create storage seats made of plywood, and learning to use tools including a biscuit joiner.

Their Youth Pathway programme allows students to remain enrolled at secondary school while getting started on learning skills for an awesome career in trades.

The schools involved in the Youth pathway programme are Christchurch Boys' High School, , , , , ,  .

The houses will be sold when finished. Contact Kim on 03 940 8041 for more information.
